Noise Party is back. Now on its 5th edition, the much loved showcase for emerging and established artists in the noise, drone, ambient, and experimental genres is returning to Icehouse for another aural and visual feast. Eight unique artists will be spread across the room to create a continuous tapestry of unconventional sounds played to a backdrop of experimental analog visuals. It’s a night focusing on collaboration and community, and giving a stage and a voice for artists to find beauty in chaotic noise. Come and experience something different. Noise Party Vol. 5 will be happening Thursday, November 30th at Icehouse. Doors at 6pm (with a full dinner menu and bar available), and music will begin at 8pm.

IOSIS:
IOSIS creates gnarled soundscapes and lush atmospherics in the service of channeling ritualistic sonic experiences, primarily through hardware synthesis means and electroacoustic techniques.
alone-a
alone-a explores the limits of memory and moment through vast tapestries of voice, digital delays, and densely rich signal processing, transformed through an ever-evolving Max/MSP instrument to surprising, chaotic, and ecstatic ends.
Josh Leininger:
Josh Leininger makes music with the guitar. Joined by friend Sam Walker, together they’ll improvise frameworks in major keys.
Matt Kounniyom:
Matt Kounniyom is an experimental bassist from Rochester, Minnesota. Combining traits from Jazz, Ambient, Noise, Drone, Post-Rock and Shoegaze to create something unique.
i once knew a ghost:
i once knew a ghost is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist Shane Donahue, and co-founder of the Noise Party series. Under the name i once knew a ghost, Shane is pushing the boundaries of what drone and ambient music can be. He is creating unique textures by combining moments of overwhelming fear and dread while adding layers of soft, luscious melodies of nostalgia to create an ever evolving work of art.
Jesse Whitney:
Jesse Whitney is a producer, composer, and synthesist whose work focuses on the use of synthesizers to facilitate consciousness expansion. Frequently utilizing repetition and other improvisatory techniques, his work is centered on the creation of trance states. His work spans a wide range of sonic aesthetics, with numerous releases as both a solo artist and numerous collaborations. Whitney is also the founder and organizer of Æther Sound, a record label dedicated to the promotion of a wide range of experimental electronic music since 2017.
Shit God:
Shit God is an alias of Miles McClain. He makes music with an emphasis on improvised, living and breathing performances bridging child-like exploration and an attempt to control the uncontrollable.
Bornguesser:
Bornguesser is a Minneapolis based experimental artist that utilizes drum machines, sequencers and synthesizers to create large, textured landscapes of sound ranging from ambient to harsh.
